One day as I was scavenging packing materials for an art shipment, I noticed a pile of computer parts in a nearby dumpster. I was enthralled by their beauty, and retrieved them from a fate in some landfill. I did not know how I would use them, only that these bits of junk were indeed “art materials” which would serve a creative purpose.

This computer scrap series incorporates obsolete semi-conductors, circuit boards, disc-drive units and silicon chips in formal compositions. The visual beauty of the electronic circuitry combined with my need to recycle these found materials inspires these “altar pieces for the new religion of technology.”
